Strohm awarded first TCP supply from OSL

30 April 2018

Following on from our recent announcement of a technical cooperation agreement with Over Sea & Land Concrete (OSL), we are very pleased, and proud to announce the first award of pipe supply to OSL for use in pumping ready-mix concrete from vessel-based operations to land construction sites.

OSL represents the first major step change in the manufacturing and delivery of concrete in decades. The advantages in costs, logistics and time to site delivery that OSL brings to the concrete industry is game changing. Add the near total reduction in the carbon footprint compared to traditional means of concrete production and delivery then OSL represent the leading disruptive technology in the world today.

Strohm will provide multiple sections of pipe for vessel-based deployment to shore on the first of many OSL vessels, the advantages that Thermoplastic Composite Pipe (TCP) brings to the project are very defined, a low cost yet strong and robust flexible product ideally suits the OSL winning formula for vessel to shore pumping. The small MBR and fatigue resistance of TCP makes it an ideal choice for OSL operations.

We look forward to working closely with OSL in this ground-breaking project.
