About the job
You are responsible for the definition and control of all the production process parameters that determine the quality of the product. You ensure that the lines run with the required efficiency (output) and with the right quality (product performance). It is an all-round function and requires global understanding of all the main engineering elements: process, equipment, controls, and understanding of statistical process control and the methods of Lean manufacturing.

Main responsibilities:

  • Define and coordinate cost-effective manufacturing campaign plan
  • Define machine hardware setup and all manufacturing parameters
  • Analysis by using internal developed tools and advanced process models, by liaison to the Technology team
  • Continuously monitor the process, including Critical-To-Quality parameters
  • Non-Conformity handling
  • Evaluate PQS test results, in consultation with TCP design department
  • Perform Continuous Improvement projects

Skills and experience

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline like Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or similar 
  • 10+ years experience
  • Experience with polymer processing for part manufacturing
  • Excellent communication skills written and orally
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent command of English. Basic in Dutch, sufficient to interact with engineers and operators

As part of the Commercial team, you provide continuous support to Tender and Regional-Sales managers during generation of commercial proposals. Furthermore you act as linking pin between the Commercial and Engineering teams. Airborne Oil & Gas is active in a high risk market with high end products, which is often reflected in the complexity of the tenders and requirements we receive from our clients.
 
Main responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all aspects of the bid are ready on time, including supplier bids, documentation, commercial and technical deviations, design, project management and production cost input.
  • Ensure that the Proposal Engineers deliver their technical input/proposals on time and with the right quality.
  • Generate budgetary cost predictions and price setting in conjunction with the Tender and Sales manager.
  • Accommodate client specific wishes by addressing issues and tuning proposals
  • Liaise with internal departments on a daily basis, and engaging with clients, suppliers and external parties when necessary.
  • Run clarification meetings, and prepare and give presentations.
  • Introduce efficiencies to the tendering process while satisfying all quality requirements.
  • Development of the sales costing tool.

Skills and experience

  • Higher professional education or Master’s degree in a technical field
  • Three years working experience in the offshore Oil & Gas industry preferably in a technical environment 
  • Knowledge and understanding of technologies used in the Oil & Gas industry
  • General knowledge of composites is a plus  
  • Commercial and financial insights / awareness
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Excellent command of English, both spoken and written
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project (or other planning software). 
  • Good command of the English language. Dutch is a plus

Proposal Engineer

About the job
You will work on the leads and tenders generated by the Sales department, where you apply your in-depth knowledge and experience of the Oil & Gas industry and (flexible) pipe applications (e.g. SURF and Well Intervention) gained from a conventional flexible manufacturer, installation contractor, or similar.

Main responsibilities:

  • Translate client requirements into technical specifications.
  • Identify possibilities for improving the competitiveness of our products.
  • Perform and/or supervise engineering activities related to the bid and ensure engineering documents and proposal deliverables are delivered on time and within budget. This includes the design of the TCP and all related equipment and ancillaries. Main focus is on the design and analysis of a fit-for-purpose solution that balances product performance, project risks and costs.
  • Compile technical documents for the bid, including reports, specifications, risk analysis, qualification plan and the technical proposal.
  • Respond to technical queries and provide overall technical support to the Sales team.
  • Report to the engineering team lead and to the tender / sales manager responsible for the project.

Skills and experience

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Offshore or Subsea engineering, or equivalent
  • At least 5 years working experience in the Oil & Gas industry with a proven track record in FEED and detailed engineering at a conventional flexible (pipe) manufacturer or installation contractor.
  • Experienced in offshore engineering, methods of installation / operation and related ancillary equipment such as bend restrictors, bend stiffeners, buoyancy and weight modules and installation aids. 
  • Experienced in analysis and designing according to relevant offshore codes and standards (e.g. DNV, API, ISO, NORSOK etc.)
  • Familiar with offshore applications and markets such as subsea well intervention, pipeline pre-commissioning and SURF products. 
  • Good command of the English language (written & spoken) is essential. Dutch is advantageous.
  • Good IT-literacy, especially in MS Office

You build and lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and production representatives, manage the client interface and deliver a comprehensive service to the business.

Main responsibilities:

  • You are profit and loss responsible for the successful execution and completion of commercial projects, measured in client satisfaction, resources, planning and budget.
  • Commercial projects consist of design, engineering, testing, manufacturing and delivery of our high end thermoplastic composite pipe to our customers. Internally our project management activities cross through sales, engineering and operations.
  • You are responsible for all project procurement, some of which might be approached as a sub-project.
  • By taking full responsibility for the scope that is allocated to you and taking the lead you focus on getting things done.
  • You will report to the Senior Project Manager.
  • Certain projects will require international travel.

Skills and experience

  • Master's degree in Offshore Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
  • Minimum of five year experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager in a complex technical environment

  • Experienced in reviewing contractual documentation
  • Acts as if the business is his/her own
  • Comfortable with financial data (handling and interpreting)
