About your job

You will have the opportunity to apply your engineering and coordination skills to supply fit-for-purpose TCP solutions, including ancillaries and related equipment. You will work on both commercial and development projects.

Your main responsibilities:

Als Control Engineer waarborg je de beschikbaarheid van onze productie-installaties en sta je aan de basis van modificaties aan de installaties om de installatiebeschikbaarheid te verbeteren. Verantwoordelijkheden
In deze functie werk je nauw samen met zowel engineers, onderhoudsmedewerkers als productiepersoneel en rapporteer je aan de Team Lead Manufacturing Technology. Je hebt een afwisselend takenpakket, waarbij je zowel op troubleshooting als op verbeterprojecten wordt ingezet. Ten aanzien van troubleshooting ben je verantwoordelijk voor het oplossen van storingen aan meetinstrumenten, PLC hardware, communicatie storingen, storingen aan industriële PC's en HMI systemen.

Composite Engineer

About the job
We are now looking for a Composite Engineer with at least 3 years working experience! As Composite Engineer you carry out the engineering work to design fit-for-purpose Thermoplastic Composite Pipes (TCP) and all related equipment and ancillaries.

Main tasks:

  • Create Finite Element models of TCP, end fitting and equipment interacting with TCP
  • Perform stress analyses Perform strength, fatigue and creep calculations
  • Perform failure predictions (for process quality testing and product qualification testing) and define test acceptance criteria
  • Define optimal TCP lay-up Prepare design reports and product datasheets

Skills and Experience

  • Master or Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Fundamental knowledge of composite properties, manufacturing methods, material modelling, constituent behaviour
  • Global understanding of composites, TCP behaviour, deck equipment, offshore installation and subsea engineering
  • Experience in strength and stiffness analysis (FEA) preferably Abaqus Experience in engineering processes and documentation (reports, drawings, RCA)
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Good command of the English language (written & spoken) is essential. Dutch is advantageous.

You will engineer a fit-for-purpose solution for the leads and tenders generated by the Sales department, in which you apply your in-depth knowledge and experience of the Oil & Gas industry and (flexible) pipe applications (e.g. SURF and Well Intervention).
 

Main responsibilities:

  • Perform engineering activities related to the bid and ensure engineering documents and proposals are delivered on time and within budget. This includes the design of the TCP and all related equipment and ancillaries. Main focus is on the design and analysis of a fit-for-purpose solution that balances product performance, project risks and costs.
  • Compile technical documents for the bid, including reports, specifications, risk assessments, qualification plan and the technical proposal.
  • Identify possibilities for improving the competitiveness of our products.
  • Respond to technical queries and provide overall technical support to the Sales team.
  • Report to the engineering team lead and to the tender / sales manager responsible for the project.
Skills and experience
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Offshore or Subsea engineering, or equivalent
  • At least 3 to 5 years working experience in the Oil & Gas industry with a proven track record in FEED and detailed engineering, preferably at a conventional flexible pipe manufacturer, installation contractor or similar
  • Experienced in pipe design, offshore engineering, methods of installation / operation and related ancillary equipment such as bend restrictors, bend stiffeners, buoyancy and weight modules and installation aids
  • Experienced in analysis and designing according to relevant offshore codes and standards (e.g. DNV, API, ISO, NORSOK etc.)
  • Familiar with offshore applications and markets such as subsea well intervention, pipeline pre-commissioning and SURF products
  • Good command of the English language (written & spoken) is essential. Dutch is advantageous
  • Good IT-literacy, especially in MS Office

Composite Production Engineer

About the job

You are responsible for the definition and control of the continues composite laminate production process that determine the quality of the product (TCP). The role of the Composite Material & Process Engineer ensures that the lines run with the right balance between efficiency (output) and with the right quality (product performance). As senior engineer you oversee all production processes and you take into consideration development work done in TCP design and (predictive) modelling and combine it to a unified strategy in composite material processing. It is an all-round function and requires global understanding of all the main engineering elements: process, equipment, controls and modelling. Furthermore, you have an understanding of statistical process control and the methods of Lean manufacturing.
 
Main responsibilities
  • Define and coordinate cost-effective manufacturing campaign plan (process phases)
  • Integration of model based (predictive) engineering into plan and execution
  • Define and maintain strategy and vision on development roadmap composite processing
  • Define composite material processing recipes and limits including hardware configuration selection
  • Continuously monitor the process, including Critical To Quality (CTQ) parameters
  • Data analysis and trending
  • NCR handling and reduction projects
  • Evaluate PQS test results
  • Perform Continuous Improvement projects

Skills and experience

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline like Process Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Applied Phys
  • +/- 10 years experience
  • Experience with polymer processing for part manufacturing
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent command of English. Dutch, sufficient to interact with engineers and operators

Mechanical Test Technician / Test Technicus

Airborne Oil & Gas is op zoek naar een Mechanical Test Technician (Test Technicus). Als Mechanical Test Technician voer je (destructieve en niet-destructieve) testen uit op material en buis samples. Je bereidt de testopstelling voor, assembleert buissamples, verzorgt de instrumentatie en voert de testen uit. Je draagt zorg voor een nauwkeurige documentatie en verzorgt na afloop de verwerking van de meetdata. In deze rol draag je bij aan het gehele testprocess behorend bij de productontwikkeling, van de R&D fase tot aan het klantproduct. Hierbij zorg je voor een hoge kwaliteitsstandaard zoals deze door onze klanten vereist wordt. Je onderhoudt testapparatuur en instrumenten om de goede kwaliteit te handhaven. Je bent gedreven om een goede kwaliteit te leveren en geeft feedback aan Test Engineers voor verbeteringen. De testen worden voornamelijk uitgevoerd binnen onze vestiging in IJmuiden.

Functie eisen

  • MBO niveau werktuigbouwkunde of vergelijkbaar
  • Ervaring met (mechanische) testen, instrumentatie en calibratie is een pré
  • Hoog kwaliteitsbewustzijn, een accurate en gestructureerde manier van werken is essentieel

  • Ervaren met MS Office (Excel)

Het team
De testafdeling verzorgt buis en materiaal testen van de R&D fase van nieuwe TCP producten, voor certificering en voor kwaliteitscontrole. De testafdeling bestaat uit Test Engineers en Test Technicians (Test Technici). De afdeling heeft een eigen test lab met, onder andere, apparatuur voor hoge druk testen, temperatuur geregelde testboxen voor barstproeven, een mechanische trekbank, een chemisch lab en DSC.
