Job Description
The Business Development Manager is responsible for creating new business in our primary growth markets, focus will be on North America but the BDM may be expected to support our growth in developing South America excluding Brazil.

A complex and challenging region with a large potential customer base including minor and major operators in Oil & Gas, this region asks for a seasoned Business Development Manager with a strong commercial background:

  1. A drive to succeed in acquisition, effective in utilizing and expanding our network, in finding new ways and create leads.
  2. Tenacity in converting leads to contracts, pursuit strategies and management. Able to work at several levels in the client's organisation, surrounding the deal and ensuring all stakeholders are engaged positively. Contracts negotiations and deal closing.
  3. Experienced in Key Account Management, working with strategic accounts on various levels to qualify, target strategic projects and become preferred and approved vendor.
  4. Firm in commitment to our policies towards integrity and business ethics. Zero tolerance for any conflict of interest or breach of policies.
  5. Technically adept, thorough understanding of “high-criticality” products in a conservative market. Deep knowledge of the SURF and preferably also SWI markets. Proud of our heritage and technology and comfortable in the face of technology experts and senior management levels within our client's organisations.
In this role, the BDM engages with operators, contractors, engineering firms, manufacturers, partners and agents. The BDM maps the market and determines the most effective roadmap to create successful introduction of our products. Where and if required, the BDM selects agents, and carries out due diligence where possible.

The role has a high level of commercial independence and includes all elements of complex sales. From prospect and lead creation to preparation of the tenders, writing proposals, setting up the pursuit plans, visiting the clients and other stakeholders and negotiating the contract including all terms and conditions.

The BDM is part of the commercial team of Airborne Oil & Gas, reporting to the Vice President North America. Locally the BDM will be supported by Proposal Engineering, the BDM will also be supported and expected to liaise with the Netherlands’ based commercial team as well as engineering support when required. Training and familiarization of the TCP product family will be given locally and in the Netherlands.

Desired Skills & Experience

Education

The team
The Test team specifies and performs all tests required to develop and qualify our TCP products and all tests required for quality control. The team consists of Test engineers and Test technicians and has its own test lab. Our test facilities include pressure test equipment (burst and collapse), tensile test machine, chemical lab and a DSC machine. The Test team also coordinates all outsourced tests.

Industrial Automation Engineer

Als Industrial Automation Engineer waarborg je de beschikbaarheid van onze productie-installaties en sta je aan de basis van modificaties aan de installaties om de installatiebeschikbaarheid te verbeteren. Je ontwikkelt nieuwe of update bestaande productiemachines en -lijnen door functionaliteit toe te voegen of bestaande uit te breiden. Op basis van jouw kennis en ervaring weet je snel storingen te herleiden en op te lossen. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het ontwerp en implementatie van modificaties aan de (besturing)systemen.

Verantwoordelijkheden
In deze functie werk je nauw samen met zowel engineers, onderhoudsmedewerkers als productiepersoneel en rapporteer je aan de Manufacturing Development Manager. Je hebt een afwisselend takenpakket, waarbij je zowel op troubleshooting als op verbeterprojecten wordt ingezet. Ten aanzien van troubleshooting ben je verantwoordelijk voor het oplossen van storingen aan meetinstrumenten, PLC hardware, communicatie storingen, storingen aan industriële PC's en HMI systemen.

Specifieke verantwoordelijkheden:

  • Je bent verantwoordelijk voor een veilige uitvoering van de werkzaamheden conform werkvergunning, planning en voorschriften
  • Je voert zelfstandig kalibraties uit van diverse meet- en regeltechniek instrumenten
  • Het zelfstandig oplossen van meet- en regeltechnische storingen aan meetinstrumenten, PLC’s en besturingsystemen
  • Het (concept) ontwerp van nieuwe of updates van bestaande industriële installaties

Furthermore, you have an understanding of statistical process control and the methods of Lean manufacturing.

  • Define and coordinate cost-effective manufacturing campaign plans

  • Define composite material processing recipes and limits including hardware configuration selection

You will engineer a fit-for-purpose solution for the leads and tenders generated by the Sales department, while learning all the ins and outs of TCP design and its applications.

Main responsibilities

As Structural engineer you work on the design and analysis of complete composite tubular systems including all ancillary systems as well as establishing methods of operation, installation and testing. The design and analysis includes conceptual design, detailed design and dimensioning, strength analysis and finite element analysis. For all our onshore and offshore systems you establish installation methods and design the tooling that may be required. For our intervention systems you determine optimal modes of operation and advise our clients on the handling of our systems. Furthermore the design, build and testing of prototypes or the execution of technical operations are part of the job.

You report to the Engineering Manager. Within the projects you work in a team and report to the Project Manager. As our Structural engineer you are responsible for the structural design of the whole product or part of a larger system. You are capable to render professional technical input and to support the Project Manager in creating an effective, solution driven approach to the project. In this position, planning and risk management are important.

Skills and experience

Mechanical Test Technician / Test Technicus

Airborne Oil & Gas is op zoek naar een Mechanical Test Technician (Test Technicus). Als Mechanical Test Technician voer je (destructieve en niet-destructieve) testen uit op material en buis samples. Je bereidt de testopstelling voor, assembleert buissamples, verzorgt de instrumentatie en voert de testen uit. Je draagt zorg voor een nauwkeurige documentatie en verzorgt na afloop de verwerking van de meetdata. In deze rol draag je bij aan het gehele testprocess behorend bij de productontwikkeling, van de R&D fase tot aan het klantproduct. Hierbij zorg je voor een hoge kwaliteitsstandaard zoals deze door onze klanten vereist wordt. Je onderhoudt testapparatuur en instrumenten om de goede kwaliteit te handhaven. Het team
De testafdeling verzorgt buis en materiaal testen van de R&D fase van nieuwe TCP producten, voor certificering en voor kwaliteitscontrole. De testafdeling bestaat uit Test Engineers en Test Technicians (Test Technici). De afdeling heeft een eigen test lab met, onder andere, apparatuur voor hoge druk testen, temperatuur geregelde testboxen voor barstproeven, een mechanische trekbank, een chemisch lab en DSC. Ook wordt er extern apparatuur ingehuurd en worden er testen uitgevoerd bij toeleveranciers.

Airborne Oil & Gas is expanding! We are now looking for a Buyer with 3 to 5 years of experience. As Buyer you will be responsible as operational/tactical Buyer to purchase a part of the raw materials, (technical) consumables, services and not production related products.

We are looking for a candidate who consistently demonstrates a smart business mind and intellectual curiosity about new ways of working at Airborne Oil & Gas (AOG). Meaning treating the company as if it was your own. It is also important that you are commercially focused and to find pragmatic solutions. Furthermore you are able to set clear priorities and focus on these set priorities. AOG is a young and dynamic company, so it is important you are able to work in a fast-pased environment and that you are comfortable working in a young and fast developing high-tech company.
The right candidate is innovative, analysing, commercial, a teamplayer and customer oriented.

Responsibilities
You are responsible for buying a part of the raw materials, (technical) consumables and services in time at the rights costs and for building and maintaining an (inter)national network of suppliers, you create and run RFQ’s. 
You negotiate independently and create contracts with selected suppliers according standard templates as well as implementing the contracts within AOG.
You support the Senior Buyer in controlling the entire purchasing portfolio. Together you determine the required supply chain strategies, the potential suppliers and calculate the internal need of materials/services.
Together with the Administrative assistant you are responsible for the purchase administration, from creating the purchase order till receipt of the requested materials.

Skills and experience

  • A Higher vocational education degree (HBO), preferably in commercial economics or an associated field of expertise
  • NEVI 1 certificate
  • 3 to 5 years experience as a Buyer in a technical environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of technologies used in chemicals or metal working is a plus 
  • Experienced in reviewing contractual documentation
  • A team player who is focused on getting results and who has strong analytical skills
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language
  • Negotiations skills
  • Excellent communication and networking skills to interact with project stakeholders and suppliers
